Q: What happened and when?
A: Netwrix Corporation announced the product name changes in June 2013. Netwrix Auditor 5.0 is the first version that reflects the name change in the product user interface.
Q: What former products does Netwrix Auditor supersede?
A: The features and functions of the following former products are now included in Netwrix Auditor:
In addition, the following products are available to Netwrix Auditor customers at no additional cost. These products are not yet fully integrated into Netwrix Auditor.
Q: I am a Netwrix customer, but I only used one of the products. Does my license entitle me to the full functionality of Netwrix Auditor?
A: No. Netwrix Auditor is licensed based on the audited systems. The table below shows what license you are entitled to, based on the product(s) you own:
Q: I only want to install Netwrix Auditor features available with the license I own. Can I do this?
A: You should download and install Netwrix Auditor. Available functionality will be trimmed based on the license you use to install the product.
Q: I am a Netwrix customer, do I have to upgrade my Change Reporter installation to Netwrix Auditor now?
A: Netwrix will continue to support former Change Reporter products according to the published support lifecycle policy. For details, refer to the Support Reference Guide.
Q: I am a Netwrix customer, how do I upgrade from my Change Reporter to Netwrix Auditor? Will I retain my audit data and settings during the upgrade?

Q: I found a document or a screen that still refers to a legacy product or file name. Is this intended?
A: Individual names, file names, screenshots and versions of former Change Report products may appear in the documentation and user interface during the transition period. We expect to completely update the documents and user interface with the future product releases of Netwrix Auditor. We apologize for possible confusion.
Q: How are version numbers tracked now?
A: We plan to switch to the streamlined Netwrix Auditor versioning completely with the future product releases. However, individual names and versions of former Change Report products may still appear in the documentation and user interface during the transition period. We apologize for possible confusion.
Q: I currently own the All-In-One license. I see that Password Expiration Alerting and Inactive User Tracking are included both in IDM Suite and in Netwrix Auditor setups. Which version should I install?
A: These components are the same and will continue to be included in both IDM Suite and Netwrix Auditor. You can safely run both installations in any order, setup will handle the installation properly.
Q: I have the Change Reporter Suite license. Do I now get the Password Expiration Alerting and Inactive User Tracking functions of Netwrix Auditor? How do I get the license to enable these?
A: Customers who are current on maintenance for Change Reporter Suite are eligible to upgrade to Netwrix Auditor - All license. Please contact Netwrix Support or Sales to obtain your license.
Q: Will my existing Change Reporter or All-in-One Suite licenses continue to work after I upgrade?
A: Yes, your existing licenses will continue to work as the algorithm used to determine if a license code is valid was not changed.
