Netwrix Named a Visionary in the 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privileged Access Management
Gartner, a company that delivers actionable, objective insight to executives and their teams, has positioned Netwrix in the Visionaries Quadrant of its 2023 Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management.

We believe Netwrix has been named a Visionary in the Magic Quadrant as the result of our innovative approach to just-in-time (JIT) privileged access functionality. Netwrix Privilege Secure can identify standing privileged accounts and replace them with dynamically created accounts that have just enough privilege to complete the task at hand and that are removed immediately afterward. As a result, there are no powerful user accounts for hackers to compromise or account owners to accidentally or deliberately misuse, eliminating privileged account sprawl and minimizing the attack surface. Netwrix has recently extended this powerful JIT access model across the IT ecosystem by introducing JIT PAM access for databases and expanding its EDR/XDR integrations. Moreover, Netwrix Privilege Secure helps organizations enforce least privilege on endpoints by removing local administrator rights, enabling end-to-end security for privileged access. In addition to full-featured PAM capabilities, the Netwrix solution also offers a bring-your-own-vault approach that will enrich an existing PAM deployment.

According to Gartner, “For the second year in a row, a significant minority of clients are telling Gartner that cybersecurity insurers require clients to have a strategy for managing privileges in their environment. This adds to the traditional drivers for PAM, which are security, compliance and audit.

Insurers often require organizations to deploy a PAM tool, along with MFA for administrative access, to mitigate the risk of breaches and malware events. Clients should expect cybersecurity insurers to continue to scrutinize how privileged access is managed, in return for an insurance policy or lower premiums. This is directly responsible for a significant minority of first-time PAM purchases that would have otherwise not happened at this time.”
