Netwrix Password Manager

NAMED FINALIST in Microsoft Best of TechEd 2011
Produced by Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Magazine, DevProConnections and SharePoint Pro

April 28, 2011 – Netwrix Corporation today announced that its Password Manager product was named as a Finalist in the Best of TechEd 2011 awards program in the Systems Management and Operations category by Penton Media’s Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Magazine, DevProConnections and SharePointPro.

The Best of TechEd 2011 awards recognize companies who offer innovative products for the industry. The judges reviewed 334 products and services submitted for the award and chose 47 finalists to be interviewed at the Microsoft TechEd North America 2011 conference in Atlanta, Georgia on May 16, 2011. Winners will be announced at an invite only evening reception at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, May 18.

We received a record number of nominations this year—more than 300—and determining an array of finalists from that large, diverse field was difficult”, said Jason Bovberg, Senior Editor at Windows IT Pro®. “The mix of products and services from year to year is ever-changing and exciting, and we feel that our 49 finalists represent highly distinguished products and services in their categories. We look forward to our show-floor interviews, which will lead to the determination of winners. For all categories, as always, our judging process involves three criteria: strategic importance to the market, competitive advantage, and value to customers. Our winners will be particularly strong in those areas.

Netwrix Password Manager, which gives end users the ability to securely manage their passwords and resolve account lockout incidents in a self-service fashion without involvement of helpdesk personnel, is a simple and cost-saving solution that maximizes productivity amongst end users and IT help desk by giving end users the power to resolve common password issues on their own. As a result of the diminished password-related support requests, Netwrix Password Manager saves costs, allows IT departments to concentrate on other pressing tasks, while enabling end users to quickly get back to work.

It’s always an honor to be recognized as a Best of TechEd finalist”, said Netwrix President and CEO Michael Fimin. “Netwrix values the high opinions of Windows IT Pro’s esteemed judge panel, and although we’ve been here before, the feeling never gets old. We’re proud to have developed a premier password management tool, and we are eager to continue developing new and improved solutions that further facilitate systems management and compliance.
