AppRiver is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company based in Gulf Breeze, Florida, U.S., that offers spam and virus protection, email encryption, and web security solutions to businesses. As a security company, AppRiver has to maintain a strong security posture for its own IT environment in order to meet customers’ high expectations. In particular, the company needed to gain centralized control over its backbone system, Active Directory. Otherwise, the infrastructure would be vulnerable to internal and external threats.

- Faster detection of incidents and troubleshooting. When one of the admins accidentally deleted an organizational unit, Netwrix Auditor alerted the IT team right away and enabled them to revert the improper deletion in just five minutes, saving the company from days of downtime.
