Paramus, New Jersey, July 15, 2008 - Netwrix Corporation, a provider of identity management, compliance and change management solutions for Active Directory and virtualization environments, announced today that it has released the Group Policy Change Reporter (GPCR). The new software, which is available in both a commercial and FREE version, enables IT departments to implement full-featured Group Policy auditing and to support regulatory compliance in Active Directory environments.

The product tracks all changes made to Group Policy Objects (GPO), including changes within newly created, deleted or modified GPO settings. The setting-level reporting feature and the ability to detect all policy changes on the most-detailed level enables IT professionals to proactively detect any security policy violations, changes to server and desktop configurations and many other important areas.

"Group Policy change control and auditing is critical for all organizations relying on Group Policy infrastructure," said Darren Mar-Elia, Group Policy MVP, CTO and Founder of SDM Software. "Netwrix has made this process very simple and affordable for companies of all sizes by enabling convenient reporting of Group Policy to document and archive all policy changes."

The tool is available in both freeware and commercial editions to make it affordable for companies of all sizes. The commercial version provides advanced enterprise-class features for complete Group Policy auditing and reporting. The 20-day evaluation of the commercial version is now available.

"Group Policy management has always been a tough area for many IT shops," said Alex Vovk, CTO, Netwrix Corporation. "Our new technology simplifies one of the major aspects of Group Policy and fills the gap in native system security."

The product's highly effective compressed storage supports historical reporting and archiving requirements set by major regulatory compliance standards, such as SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, and others.
