FBI Insider's Guide:

Mastering Proactive Data Security

Organisations today manage massive volumes of sensitive, business-critical and regulated data — which is under constant threat from external attackers, malicious insiders, and even employee negligence and errors. Any security incident can lead to extensive operational disruptions, steep financial losses and lasting reputation damage.

Fortunately, there are effective strategies your organisation can implement to proactively reduce your data security risks. Watch us for this 2-part webinar series featuring both a retired FBI agent Scott Augenbaum and an expert in data loss prevention (DLP).

Data Defense 101: Expert Guidance from a Retired FBI Agent

Our first session features Scott Augenbaum, a retired agent for the FBI’s Cybercrime Fraud Unit. He will share insights gleaned from a lifetime on the front lines of the fight against cybercrime, from the motivations and tactics of cybercriminals to proven strategies for reducing your organisation’s attack surface.

Watch the session to get a wealth of actionable information, including the following:

  • Key vulnerabilities that put your data at risk — Discover the common gaps in data access controls that lead to costly security incidents – from external attacks to human error or negligence.
  • Benefits of improving data governance — Learn the true business consequences of weak data governance, including financial losses, reputation damage and legal repercussions.
  • Proactive data security — Understand exactly what proactive data security involves and why it is critical.
  • Real-life examples — See how data classification, access management and other core data governance practices have helped real organisations know exactly where their data resides and ensure that only the right people have access to it.
