Paramus, NJ, Aug 17, 2007 - Netwrix Corporation announced today the release of Account Lockout Examiner for PowerShell, a set of Windows PowerShell cmdlets that lets administrators automate the detection and resolution of account lockouts. Administrators can now identify account lockouts, examine the most likely causes for account lockouts and unlock accounts directly from scripts developed using the product.
"The product provides a set of PowerShell cmdlets in order to simplify basic aspects of account lockout troubleshooting by leveraging Windows PowerShell," said Alex Vovk, CTO, Netwrix Corporation. "Armed with these cmdlets, administrators can automate the detection and resolution of account lockouts occurring in their environments."
The new product is based on existing technology used by Account Lockout Examiner, - the very popular product released half a year ago and currently helping hundreds of companies with their account lockout issues. The idea behind this technology is to eliminate all routine work related to the resolution of repeated account lockouts caused by stale credentials and forgotten passwords used in multiple places across networks.
"I was really impressed with Windows PowerShell technology from the very beginning," said Greg Singleton, Managing Partner, Strattisoft Technologies, an Ottawa, Canada-based Netwrix reseller partner. "New cmdlets introduced by Netwrix simplify management and troubleshooting of account lockouts with elegant, one-line PowerShell scripts. With this new product, customers can easily create fully customized workflows for effective management of their Active Directory environments."
The Account Lockout Examiner for PowerShell is a part of a family of solutions that also includes Password Manager, Password Manager for Roaming Users, Account Lockout Examiner, and others, covering customers´ Active Directory and identity management needs.
